You may think it strange that I chose Paul for my December kit but hopefully my devotional thoughts will help you understand my reasoning. Also the colour purple is historically a colour used for royalty.
December 25th is when we celebrate the Birth of Jesus
our Immanuel (God with us). For my husband and I we celebrate His birth throughout the year but do look at this time of year as an opportunity to share the gospel with family and friends.
In the Bible, you will read in Acts 9:5 where Paul on his way to continue his persecution of the early Christians, met Jesus. Paul met the resurrected Lord Jesus. His life was totally changed after that encounter and I know that my life was changed after I met Jesus way back in 1981.
Paul became a great missionary sharing the Good News in so many places that were the beginnings of the spread worldwide of the truth about Jesus.
Timothy was a young man who came to believe in Jesus and under the guidance of Paul became the Pastor of a Church. Paul wrote two letters to Timothy which form part of the New Testament.
Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. For those who read these thoughts who have not yet met Jesus, may this be the time to open your hearts to Him. Let Him in and live a wonderful changed life.
