TRIUNE BLOG TRAIN - DECEMBER 2013 - O HOLY NIGHT

This is a busy time of year for lots of people with all the different preparations for the holiday season, but four of us Christian Designers have something to share with you this month.
The theme is O Holy Night - what a holy blessed night it was that night when our Saviour was born. We know it was not really in December but it is nice to know the world puts aside a time to make us all think about the Christmas story and I always see this time of year as an opportunity of sharing God's word even if it be one small Bible verse in a Christmas card sent to my non-believing friends and relatives.

May all those who visit this blog and continue on with our blog train, have a safe and blessed time this Christmas.

Autumn Beauty Mini Kit

TRIUNE BLOG TRAIN FOR JULY 2013 - NOAHS ARK

This month our theme for our blog train is "Noahs Ark". I did not want to create a "cutesy" kit so I left the animal shapes without eyes. The elephant looks like it is a back view, anyway. There are only numbers in the kit - no alphas.  I thought the numbers may work for a child's birthday page or to add a large date to a page featuring a visit to the zoo.

TAKE THE APRIL ROAD TRIP WITH STUFF TO SCRAP

This month the theme for the Road Trip hosted by Stuff to Scrap  is  APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS.

I have designed some pieces of word art and what I am calling  "Pretties" which are in a sense fancy paint splatters with some bling  scatters incorporated with them.  The best way to use them is to not add any shadows - just place them on your layout as they are.

Stuff to Scrap Designer Darling Contest - Round 4

I have now made it to the second last round in the contest. For this round we need to create a mini kit using no purchased Commercial use items which includes actions and styles as well as paper overlays, elements etc.  We were given one colour - a blue that we are asked to include in our palette. My mind went blank and I could not think of a theme or colour palette to use and then remembered admiring a layout in a gallery recently that was created in monochromatic colours. So this inspired me to create my mini kit - Blue N Blue. I enjoyed using textures for my papers that were from photographs or scannings of things around my home. I also enjoyed drawing some doodles in my Illustrator Software which I must learn how to use properly. My doodled circles were inspired by a paper scrapbook page I once created. The circles give the look of flowers when you place leaves with them.

TAKE A ROAD TRIP WITH STUFF TO STAMP - COCOA AND COFFEE

This is my first time of taking part in the Road Trip with Stuff to Stamp.
The theme for this month is "Cocoa and Coffee".
I started with designing the alpha using paper I created from a photo of coffee beans ( my husband and I like to grind our own roasted coffee beans as it makes the coffee fresher tasting).  Then I decided I would include some papers and just a few embellishments.  I hope you enjoy my little kit and please if you create a page using pieces of my designs, pop back in here and let me know as I would enjoy seeing what anyone creates.
