November 2020 Template

I am no longer giving away a kit at the start of the month ( other than this month I am taking part in the Pixel Scrappers Blog Train).  Having said that I do plan to still give away a template at the start of each month which is the template I use for the Template Challenge at Oh Snap Lets Scrap. Also at Oh Snap Lets Scrap I host a Slow Scrap Challenge each month and the bonus mini kit I will be giving for taking part in that challenge will be a mini kit to match the kit I design for the We Believe Blog Train each month.

If you would like to join the Oh Snap Lets Scrap forum you are very welcome to visit us HERE. There is no store connected to this forum so you are able to use whatever kits you own for the various challenges.

Here is this month's template and the banner is in all separate layers for you to add your own different papers to.

November 2020 Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

For this month's Pixel Scrapper Blog Train I created an Australian Themed mini kit as another designer has chosen that as a theme also so I thought mine would work well with hers. Even if you do not have any photos of places in Australia, I am sure there is something in my mini kit you can make use of.

Remember that you need to revisit the forum of Pixel Scrapper HERE to find the links to the other designers taking part.

Here is the preview to my mini kit:

October 2020 - We Believe Blog Train - Peaceful Harvest

Thankyou to all those who take the time to leave a comment. It is much appreciated.

This month we have the theme of Peaceful Harvest  with the scripture James 3:18 chosen by the designer - Sunny who is no longer taking part in our Blog Train.

The scritpure James 3:18 is worded so well in the Contemporary English Bible:

Those who make peace sow the seeds of justice by their peaceful acts.

We hear so much bad news on our televisions and radios these days. So much violence is happening in the world. But truthfully.... we can all do our part and sow a seed of justice like this scripture states. We need to live our lives in a right relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ so that we can know His peace and then share it with others.

I hope to enjoy the kit and template I created for this month:

October 2020 Pixel Scrapper Blog Train - Denim and Lace

We are not given a specific theme for the monthly trains but are given a color palette to work with. The one for this month also included the suggestion of Denim Jeans so I decide to create the kit I have. There are other designers on this train that have also worked with the denim theme.

I do hope you all enjoy what I have designed.

Mountains - Isaiah 54:10

For this month I wanted to create a kit with an outdoor theme so I chose the theme of "Mountains". I found a great scripture to use for my scripture word art which I hope you all enjoy.

I will continue to have a template each month but as of November ( next month) I will not have the sized kit I have been giving away. I came to this decision because I have rejoined the We Believe Blog Train.  I will share one or two of the mini kits I created during the year for Challenge bonuses at Oh Snap Lets Scrap.

Next year, possibly I will share each month the mini kit I will create for Oh Snap Lets Scrap's bonus for taking part in the Slow Scrap Challenge from the month before.

Leaf - Proverbs 11:28

As I have returned to taking part in the We Believe Blog Train, I will only create these monthly kits of my own, until the end of the year. Next year I possibly will either stop doing these or do them every second  month.

This month I chose the theme of "Leaf" with it being fall/autumn in the Northern Hemisphere.

It is true that we are like a leaf that does fade and dies. Our bodies do deteriorate and eventually turn back to the dust God created them from in the beginning ( Genesis 2:7). But our soul goes on forever and forever is a very long time! (Matthew 10:28). My prayer for those who visit this blog is that your soul has been made right with God in a faith  filled relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who is the only one who saves our souls.

( I just realised that I did not use the scripture about the leaf fading in this kit. That verse is Isaiah 64:6 which I used in a previous kit I designed for a blog train some years ago which you can find HERE  - the link should still be active. At the end of this blog posting I will share an Art Journal page I created using the word art from that kit which is for a challenge I host at Ginger Scraps).

I hope you enjoy the small kit I created and the template.

Pixel Scrapper Blog Train for September 2020

With this train the designers can choose whatever theme they want from the suggested list or anything else they desire to create. The same colour palette is used by all designers with some choosing just a few of the colours which is what I have chosen to do.  Someone else on the train chose to do a desert themed kit so I have done the same. I hope you enjoy what I created as I had fun putting this small kit together.

August 2020 Blog Train at Pixel Scrappers

For August this is the colour swatch we were given to choose our colours and theme from:
I chose to work with the light blue/aqua, lilac, peach and soft grey  for my mini kit.  I hope you enjoy it and I know one another designer in the Blog Train has also created a baby themed kit which should work well with mine.
You need to visit Pixel Scrappers forum to find the other links to visit the different blogs which you can find HERE

DREAMS - Proverbs 13:19

For the month of August I chose to create a kit ( and a mini kit I give  away at Oh Snap Lets Scrap for a challenge I host there), with the theme of Dreams. I chose this as I wanted to make use of pieces from a  kit  I designed years ago when I was helping design prize kits at the Australian Digital Site - Nuts 4 Digi. So I went looking for a scripture which included the word  "dreams" and found Proverbs 13:19. I feel it is a fitting scripture for these days as so many people seem to be doing foolish things  like not obeying the governments guidelines for staying safe from the corona virus.

"It is pleasant to see dreams come true, but fools refuse to turn from evil to attain them." Proverbs 13:19 (NLT)

I was able to find time to create a template for this month and hope to have one for September as well.
If I remember to at the end of the year I may add to my blog all the mini kits I created this year that go with the larger kits I  have giving away.

BIRDS - Ecclesiastes 9:12

I am a great admirer of birds and  often take photos of the wild birds that visit our backyard. One of my favourites is the King Parrot  so the colours in the kit I designed is based on colours in a photo of a King Parrot. This photo was taken at an Australian Zoo in 2018.  Because I enjoy seeing birds in the wild I do not really like to see birds kept in cages which is why I created the word art in my kit.

I hope you all enjoy this kit as I enjoyed working with my chosen colours. This month is the last time I will be sharing templates to give away.  I am busy with other commitments and needed to cut back on something.
p.s. to this last statement.... if I can find the time I will continue to do a template each month.

Father - Psalm 68:5

With this month being the month that in the USA Father's Day is celebrated I chose "Father" as the theme for my kit to give away.
The scripture - Psalm 68:5 is one that years ago I shared with a lady struggling with being a single parent. She found great encouragement in this scripture.  So my prayer is that maybe someone who visits my blog to download this kit and template will also find encouragement in the fact that our Heavenly Father is a father to the fatherless and protector of widows ( also motherless and widowers).

I  hope you enjoy the kit I designed with a male theme:

Mother - John 19:27

My kit this month has the theme "Mother" and the scripture I chose is the words Jesus spoke to John as He ( our Lord and Saviour) died on the cross. He was thinking of his mother, Mary as he died and took responsibility of  her care in handing her over to the care of His beloved disciple, John.
There are times in our lives that we are drawn to an older woman who is not our biological mother - she may be an older lady in our Church or a neighbour. These precious older women become very much a blessing to us. I had such lady in a Church my husband and I used to worship at. She went home to the Lord before we stopped attending that Church. The moment I met her I felt drawn to her and over the years we had before she went home, I found her such an encouragement to me in her attitude to her life and her love for Jesus.  I will be sharing a page about someone who is now an "other mother" to me.

In my kit I have included word art for different types of mothers - "mother in law "  "Step mother" and "other mother".

If you are looking for a friendly but quiet digital scrapbooking forum to enjoy some challenges and would like to obtain the bonus prizes of a set of word art and a mini kit which match my "Mother" kit come over to Oh Snap Lets Scrap and become a member.  You can find  the forum HERE.
Each month I host a Template challenge, a Slow Scrap Challenge and a Photo Swap Challenge.

Here is my kit for this month for you all to enjoy:

Now this template which is the template I use for the challenge I host at Oh Snap Lets Scrap where you can receive a bonus kit of word art if you take part in my challenge.

Now here is a page I created using my template with it turned on the side and I have used a yellow paper from my Risen kit I gave away last month and items from my "Mother" kit and also items from the "Mother Mini Kit" which I am giving away for a challenge I host at Oh Snap Lets Scrap.

RISEN - Matthew 28:6

This month being the month we have holidays for Good Friday and Easter Sunday, I have created a kit with the theme of our Risen Lord.  It is not the bunnies or the chocolate eggs we should be concentrating on. We should keep our minds on the event in history that really did take place on a hill called "Golgotha" and then 3 days later an empty tomb.
The cross we display in our homes or our jewellery should be an empty cross. Our Lord is no longer nailed to that cross, He is RISEN.  We serve a risen, alive saviour. He died so we can be forgiven and He came alive to show us that eternal life is real.

I hope you enjoy the kit and template I have designed for this month.

LILIES - MATTHEW 6:28

For this month with it being the start of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere I thought I would create a flower themed kit to share.

During my courtship with my husband we would exchange letters and love notes. One time I used pretty paper on which there were flowers so I included in my note Matthew 6:28.  My dear sweetheart thought I was telling him the message that he had too much concern for his clothing which was far from the truth as his wardrobe was very minimal.  So I need to help him understand I just wanted to share a scripture that spoke about the beauty of flowers.

I hope you enjoy my template and kit.  I have carried over the Lilac colour from the Friendship kit so some of the papers and elements will work together.

February 2020 Pixel Scrapper Blog Train - Delish

For this blog train at Pixel Scrapper I have created a set of two alphas with numbers  and most symbols included.

You can download the patterned alpha HERE

Friendship - Proverbs 27:9

Most of the time when we think of February we think of Valentine's Day with lots of red hearts etc.
I decided for my kit to give away this month I would concentrate on a different form of love - not romantic love - friendship love.

I hope you all enjoy what I have created and I carried over one colour from last month's "New"  Kit which is the pale aqua green so some papers and elements you may be able to  use on the same  page you are creating.  I plan on carrying over a colour from this month to what I design for March.
